Day 16
Today two months after our actual wedding ceremony, Warrie and I got married legally. As we live in Thailand it wasn’t really as simple as going to the registry office and signing a piece of paper. We first had to go to both our consulates and get affidavit’s saying we were both unmarried, then they had to be translated into Thai and sent to the city hall in Chiang Mai and approved. Eventually after all that was finished we could go to the town hall with a Thai witness and get married. Thankfully our good friend Fon agreed to be our witness and translate everything for us, we sat around for 3 hours, then we were called into a crowded office, asked to sign a form and voila, we are now married!
